Restoring Accountability and Parental Engagement in Our Schools
Our families deserve better. Parents across Pasco County are frustrated because their voices are being ignored — leading many to seek educational options outside of our district. It is time to bring the focus back to what works.
If elected to the Pasco County School Board, Sean will advocate for the implementation of a Fundamental School Magnet Model — similar to the highly successful program he has seen firsthand in Pinellas County. This program is the #1 requested program on Choice applications in Pinellas County and has been called the Private-Public School. If accepted, parents must agree to attend monthly PTA meetings and all parent-teacher meetings, students will earn demerits if they misbehave instead of referrals, if either side does not fulfill their expectations, the student can be removed and sent to their zoned school. Last year over 1,000 students listed Osceola Fundamental High School as their #1 choice for only 400 spots.
Education is a partnership between the home and the classroom. It is time we foster a system that values parent participation and provides the structured, disciplined environment our students need to thrive.

Parents are active partners in their child's education, with a commitment to attend monthly PTA meetings and mandatory guidance conferences. When parents are engaged, students succeed.

We will return to an environment where standards are high and rules are strictly followed. Students, parents, and teachers all know what is expected — and those expectations are upheld consistently.
Accountability
By utilizing a structured demerit system, we ensure that both students and the learning environment remain focused on academic achievement and mutual respect. Accountability is not punishment — it is the foundation of a serious school.
Every child deserves to walk into school and feel safe. Sean will push for stronger security protocols, mental health resources, and transparent reporting.
Student Safety
- Require annual safety audits at every school in the District
- Expand mental health counselor staffing ratios
- Mandate transparent incident reporting to parents within 24 hours
- Partner with Pasco County Sheriff for updated threat assessment protocols
- End the practice of burying disciplinary data in administrative reports
Parents are not the enemy — they are partners. Sean will fight to ensure families have full transparency into curriculum, policies, and every decision that affects their children.
Parental Rights
- Post all curriculum materials publicly online before adoption
- Require board approval for any new social-emotional learning programs
- Protect parents' right to opt children out of non-academic programming
- Hold quarterly town halls in each district community
- Create a parent advisory council with real input — not rubber-stamp meetings
Our teachers are stretched thin and undervalued. Sean will advocate for competitive pay, reduced administrative burden, and a school culture that respects classroom professionals.
Teacher Support
- Push for teacher pay that meets or exceeds the state average
- Cut redundant administrative reporting requirements by 30%
- Fund classroom supply stipends so teachers stop paying out of pocket
- Establish a teacher retention task force with real authority
- Recognize and reward teacher performance transparently
Taxpayer dollars must go to classrooms — not bureaucracy. Sean will demand line-by-line budget transparency and fight wasteful spending at every board meeting.
Fiscal Accountability
- Publish a plain-English budget summary for every Pasco County taxpayer
- Require competitive bidding on all contracts over $25,000
- Conduct an independent audit of administrative overhead costs
- Oppose any tax increase until existing funds are fully accounted for
- Redirect savings from administrative cuts directly to classrooms
Pasco County students deserve a world-class education. Sean will refocus the board on core academics, measurable outcomes, and closing achievement gaps.
Academic Excellence
- Adopt evidence-based reading and math curricula district-wide
- Set measurable annual goals for literacy and graduation rates
- Expand vocational and trade programs for students not on a college track
- Restore focus on foundational skills: reading, writing, and arithmetic
- Hold principals accountable for school-level academic performance, while giving them more freedom to pick the programs that will work for their school.
Schools are the heart of Pasco County communities. Sean will build real partnerships with local businesses, faith organizations, and civic groups to support students.
Community Partnership
- Launch a business mentorship program connecting students with local employers
- Partner with community organizations for after-school programming
- Open school facilities for community use on evenings and weekends
- Create a community scholarship fund with local business sponsors
- Establish regular listening sessions in every neighborhood in District 3
